Telephony
NESC is committed to provide regional communications support where the use of converged network services is employed. This includes IP Telephony or commonly known as Voice over IP (VoIP). In order to support VoIP, practices and standards must be in place to ensure the voice quality that we all have come to expect. This includes having Basic Services in place.
Note: This service is not available unless the member participates in the Basic Services Package due to the complexity and integration required to ensure success.
An IP Telephony support for your locally installed PBX includes:
- Factory certified technical support for both 3Com and Cisco IP Phone systems.
- Dial Plan management
- Quality of service configuration and management.
- Performance reporting to the extent supported by the manufacturer.
- Daily backups of critical configuration databases.
- Factory equipment service and purchasing options
- Configuration and support of Local Area Network for support of VoIP.
NOTE: THIS SERVICE ONLY SUPPORTS THE END USER EQUIPMENT AND DOES NOT PROVIDE TELECOMMUNICATIONS TRANSPORT SERVICE.
