ARRA Broadband Projects

 Welcome to the NESC ARRA Broadband Projects informational page. NESC is involved in several broadband projects that was provided under the ARRA stimulus project where $7.2B of federal funding was appropriated to the NTIA and USDA. NTIA received $4.7B and the USDA received $2.5B to be distributed under the Notice of Funding Availability process.

NESC currently has three projects submitted of which one was awarded earlier this year (2010) under the Round 1 funding process.

Two additional submissions are posted under the Round 2 program.

You can find more details on all of the submissions by selecting them from the navigation menus on this site.

    The NESC Network Service Agreement (NSA) is now available for download and can be found at www.nesc.k12.mn.us/broadband/anchors.

    The NSA is designed for Anchor institutions and interest groups that are seeking to be connected to the NE Middle Mile Project.

    Vendors can now register using the following tool;

    Important! When creating a new account select "Vendor" as the account type.
    When registering, you can upload up to 5 line cards or other forms of electronic brochures.

    Once you are logged into the portal, you will are able to;
    - Provide us general classification of the types of services you offer.
    - Register additional company contacts that you want to have notices delivered to when they are released. Note: These are simply for notification and they will only receive emails when notices are posted if you have the check box marked.
    - Post Questions related to notices. Note the questions and answers are visible to all registered users.
    - Subscribe to our ATOM(RSS) feed for the Q&A's. Note: full viewing of answers requires you to be registered on the site. Feed is located at: http://ruby.nenet.us/sitesurveytool/feeds/questions.atom
